NORTHERN BLAZE®  ASH

• Botanical name: Fraxinus americana 'Jefnor'

• Origin: Discovered by Dr. Wilbert Ronald in an open-pollinated seedling population of a northern Minnesota source.

• Hardiness: Zone 3 (Canadian and USDA)

• Growth Rate: A vigorous growth rate that compares to Patmore Ash.

• Description: Seedless. Outstanding foliage; the leaf is 20% larger than Patmore Ash and the attractive dark-green leaf colour is retained throughout the growing season. The growth habit is an upright oval shape during the juvenile stage, developing into an open, round-topped crown at maturity. New twig growth is dark reddish-purple.

• Landscape Value: Excellent shade tree in residential, downtown and commercial plantings, particularly where outstanding foliage is required.
