• Botanical name: Cornus alba 'Bailhalo'

• Origin: Developed by Bailey Nurseries, St. Paul, Minnesota.

• Hardiness: Zone 3 (Canadian and USDA)

• Growth Rate: A slow to medium growing plant developing into a compact and dense shrub.

• Description: The dogwood has a dense, compact plant form and fine-textured foliage. The variegated foliage brightens up a shady area and the red twigs are attractive in winter. This shrub requires much less pruning and attained a height of only 90 cm (3 ft) after five years in our tests. It has been reported to be seedless.

• Landscape Value: Use in mass plantings, in borders or alone in smaller landscapes.
