Easterpets are interspecific hybrids involving
the well-known Easter lily. This breakthrough in lily
breeding makes the growing of Easter lily types possible
in northern gardens. These interspecific lilies bloom 3
to 5 weeks after the Asiatic lilies and create the
highlight of the lily blooming season. These lilies have
proven to be hardy in zone 3 without any special winter
protection. This new series of lilies originated from the
Morden Research Centre team of Lynn Collicutt and Wilbert
G. Ronald.
